Club rules
1. Dog’s should be on lead AT ALL TIMES, except when working with the trainer.
2. No dog is allowed to go onto any equipment without a trainer present.
3. All dogs should be crated or staked when not working.
4. No excessive barking will be allowed as we train on school grounds and in a residential area.
5. No slip chains, harsh handling, shouting or swearing at the dogs will be allowed.
6. Scoop the poop – we are training on hockey fields or alternatively on public grounds. Pooh bags will always be available at the trailer – or bring bags yourself. The club reserves the right to fine a handler who do NOT scoop the poop.
7. Unprovoked aggression / aggressive nature towards other handlers or dogs will not be tolerated. The club reserves the right to request the dog and handler to leave the club / grounds for the safety of others.
8. No dogs in season will be allowed to practice.
9. No dogs with illnesses will be allowed on the training grounds.
10. New handlers will be requested to complete an indemnity form, as well as membership form with proof of dog’s updated vaccinations.
11. Dog should be obedience trained – we need a good recall as well as a solid “stay”.
12. Active wear for handlers are suggested as this is a running sport.
